Hello there again.
You know what's been bothering me lately?
I feel trapped. Seriously though. My family has lived in this middle of nowhere town since they came here from Germany. Dead serious. The farthest away anyone has got is Pittsburgh. Well, I'm not gonna be as dumb as they are. I was thinking Arizona or New Mexico or something. Someplace that it doesn't snow. Or sleet. Or freezing rain.
So, anyway, I got the most awesome book yesterday! My bestest friend gave me The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe! I know, way cool.
Today is my sister's birthday party. Her actual birthday is on Christmas. Yeah, I know, woo. I'm only looking forward to this because I get to see my family whom I love. My life must bore you to death. So, I'm going to ramble about someone else's life. I am going to summarize the Twilight series for you losers who still haven't read it.
Okay. So this 17 year old girl, Bella, moves from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington to live with her dad. In the beginning everything's all normal, but then she goes to Biology and sits next to Edward Cullen. Now, Edward is a vampire who can read people's minds, but Bella doesn't know this yet. She just thinks Edward hates her cuz he keeps giving her realllllyyyyy dirty looks. But, the truth is, her blood supposedly smells AMAZING to Edward and he can't read her mind, which is way strange. So, he was thinking of different ways to kill her and the witnesses. Weird, huh? It gets better. So the next day Edward isn't in school, which Bella thinks is good. But he's really in Denali, Alaska with another vampire "family" like his own. Now, vampires drink human blood, right? Yes, but Edward and his "family--Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Alice, Emmett, and Jasper--are "vegetarians", which means that they drink animal blood because they don't want innocent people to die and crap. And a few other things you need to know about vampires--they don't burn in the sun, they sparkle, they don't have fangs, just venom, they can't sleep or turn into bats, they live eternally, they have super speed, strength, sight, hearing, smell, and they are absolutely gorgeous to the human eye. So, once Edward calms down and comes back, he and Bella start to get along. Then, Bella and her friends go to First Beach in La Push, Washington, where there is an Quileute Indian reservation. She ends up luring Jacob Black into telling her the Quileute legends and crap about vampires--"the cold ones"-- and werewolves. Interesting stuff. So then she figures out that Edward and his family are vampires. Then she goes with her friends Jessica and Angela to Port Angeles to get dresses for some dance that's coming up but Bella isn't going because she's terrified of dancing. She ends up getting lost by herself and nearly getting mugged but in the nick of time BAM there's Edward. She ends up getting a ride home with him and she and him talk about his being a vampire and crap.
Okay, that's only like half of the book. I'll skip most of the rest of the details and get to the good stuff.
So, Bella and Edward end up falling in love and she meets his parents and everything's hunky dory, right? Nope. One day Edward brings Bella to watch a baseball game that he and his family plays. Vampires like baseball? Yep, totally. Then these 3 other vampires who are not "vegetarians" like the Cullens hear them and become curious. These 3--Laurent, James, and Victoria--do not know that Bella is human at first, but then they do and they wanna eat her. But Edward defends her and, being able to read minds, reads James' mind and WOAH do they run into a problem. James is a tracker--he tracks people all over the place according to their scent and then tortures and kills them--and he wants to track Bella. Victoria, who is his...significant other, we'll say, joins him in the chase. So, Alice--who can see the future--and Jasper--who can control peoples moods and crap--hide Bella in Arizona. But James tricks Bella into thinking that he has captured her mother but she can't tell Alice and Jasper that that is happening. So, she ends up escaping Jasper and Alice and goes to the place that James supposedly has her mom. But he doesn't. So he nearly kills her (and he bites her) but Edward and Emmett and Jasper show up in the nick of time. Edward takes Bella to his father, Carlisle, and Emmett and Jasper kill James. Edward is able to suck the venom out of Bella so she doesn't become a vampire and everything ends all happy right? Sure, for now.
Now, onto New Moon, book 2 in the series.
Okay, so this book starts at Bella's 18th birthday. Alice ends up throwing her a party but Bella hates parties so she's all mad. But, when Bella is opening up one of her gifts, she gets a paper cut. WOAH, paper cut=blood. Blood + vampires=uh oh. So, Jasper--who is the newest to adjust to this lifestyle--lunges at Bella and...well anyway, Bella ends up falling off the bench she is sitting on and scraping her arm on glass. Not good. Carlisle fixes her and everythings all good, right? No, it's not. Anyway, Edward and his family end up leaving Forks. I know, it's horrible. Edward manages to convince Bella that he doesn't love her anymore and well, she's a mess. For 4 months she does practically nothing. Then, she starts becoming friends with Jacob Black, remember him? Yeah, they become like best friends. And Bella ends up buying these 2 broken motorcycles but Jacob ends up fixing them. But he has to keep them at his place because Bella's dad is a cop and 100% anti-motorcycle. Anyways, Jacob ends up becoming a werewolf. How does one become a werewolf? It's a herditary thing. And anyways, his pack makes him not tell Bella, but she ends up figuring it out. Remember those Quileute legends he told her about? Yeah, she remembers those. So, the Quileute kids like to go cliff diving, right? Yeah, so Bella sees them and she wants to go too. So one day she decides to. By herself. Alice sees that and she thinks that she's killing herself and rushes to Forks to see. But she did it only for recreation. But Rosalie--Edward's sister who severely hates Bella--tells Edward that she committed suicide. So he goes to Italy. Why Italy, you ask? Well that's where the Volturi live. The who? The royal family of vampires that basically controls everything about vampires. Now, Edward goes there because the only way to kill a vampire is to rip it to shreds and burn the pieces and only another vampire can do so. But none of Edward's family members will do that for him, so he threatens to expose himself in the middle of a crowded townsquare and hopes that they will kill him because apparently he does not want to live if Bella doesn't. So Bella and Alice go to Italy and stop him but the Volturi end up finding out that Bella knows about vampires and they make a deal with them. They will let them go away unscathed but Bella has to become one of them, which Edward does not want. So, they go back home and Charlie--Bella's father--is VERY mad and grounds Bella for like ever. But Edward and his family move back to Forks. Now, what happens in Eclipse, book 3? Read it yourself, my fingers are cramping.
