Hola!

Well, hello there blog readers!
Ha, like anyone's gonna read this, but keeping a journal is pretty lame these days.

So I thought I would catch up to the rest of the 21st century and blog!
Not like this is really a place to vent out all my feelings, that's what my stuffed animals are for.
This is more like a place for me to share useless pieces of information with the world so they aren't so useless.
Hence the title, Useless Babbling.
In case you haven't noticed, or you don't know a thing about me, or you're just plain dumb, I like to babble. About anything and everything for as long as anyone will listen. Or in this case, read.
And also, I just may be one of the world's biggest book worms.
Yes, I know, hard to believe. But I really love it, and right now I have a list about a page long of books I wanna read.
So, seeing as I have nothing better to write about, I'm going to discuss my favorite authors and genres and crud no one cares about.
Feel free to press that pretty little red and white X in the corner.

My all-time favorite author since like forever is Sharon Creech. Yeah, she writes books for like 5th and 6th graders, but they're awesome. For example, one of my personal favorites, Bloomability.

It's about this 13-year-old girl, Dinnie, who moves to Switzerland to go to an international school run by her aunt and uncle.
It's really good. I wanna go to a school like that. Swiss chocolate is supposedly to die for.
Also, I love Heartbeat.
http://www.amazon.com/Heartbeat-Sharon-Creech/dp/0060540249/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1197071253&sr=1-5
It's a book of poems that all tell a story about 12-year-old Annie who goes through some pretty big changes. It's kind of immature, but it's still awesome.

Another one of my favorite authors is Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight series, which is the most amazing series i have ever read. Ever. Even better than Harry Potter, which I am a huge fan of.
http://www.amazon.com/Twilight-Collection-Stephenie-Meyer/dp/0316003727/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1197071479&sr=1-3
It's about this girl, Bella, a junior in high school, who falls in love with Edward, a vampire. Yeah, I know, sounds creepy right? Wrong. Edward and his "family" aren't like the sleeping-in-coffins, burning-up-in-the-sunlight, human-blood-drinking vampires. It's also a romance that puts Romeo and Juliet to shame. Go read it for yourself. Now. Because I said so. (which is a totally awesome movie starring Mandy Moore, Diane Keaton, and Lauren Graham. Go watch it. Now)
**Also, she co-wrote Prom Nights From Hell, which I have yet to read but I really REALLY want to. ANDDDDDDD she is coming out with a new science-fiction novel, The Host, which I can't wait for.

Another totally cool author you should totally know about is Meg Cabot. If you haven't heard of her, well, aghskjhviawyiuwhohtskj! Do you live under a rock?!
She wrote the Princess Diaries series, made into the popular movie starring Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews. And The Mediator series, which is about 16-year-old Susannah Simon, who can speak to and see the dead.

I recently read the 2nd Mediator book, The Ninth Key, and if my friends would learn to buy entire series' instead of the first few books, I would have it finished by now.
I also read the first couple Princess Diaries books and have not yet had a chance to get a hold of the rest. But I will finish it. Eventually. And I also read her book
All-American Girl, which is about a girl who saves the president's life and...I'm really spoiling these for whoever actually reads this pathetic thing. As I told you before, the little red and white X is waiting to be clicked upon.

So, now that I gave you a hefty reading list, I suggest you go complete it. Now. Because I said so. (once again, fantastic movie.)

And now a little useless tidbit of info that may be crucial.
DID YOU KNOW...
Squirrels canNOT give you rabies.
So if you get bit by a squirrel, do not panic. Because you will not foam at the mouth.
But you could get some other deadly disease. So do not go out and aggrivate an already pissed-off squirrel just to prove me wrong. Because I'm right.
(No, I'm not conceided.)
I think I'm done now, considering the female parental unit is bugging me to do the vacuuming.
Adios! (no, i do not know much Spanish, considering I am currently learning a useless language, Deutsch. (German) I don't advise trying to learn it, everyone in Deutschland (Germany) speaks English anyway.
=)
